Q – 1 The Contributor focuses on ‘we’ not ‘I’
How does a team’s motivation levels and bonding within,
affect the ability of the team to take on larger responsibilities and achieve larger goals?
Answer:
If the team is bonded well it leads to motivation to take on larger responsibilities, on the other hand if there are differences within the team members it leads to demotivation hence they hesitate to take up large responsibilities, which acts as an obstacle in the ability of the team to achieve larger goals.
For example we have discussed in the lecture that there is one employee who is ready to work even after office hours without any monetary motivation where as the other employee does not want to work after office hours. Here, we can see both, "lack of bonding & lack of motivation" which adversly affects the ability of the team to take on larger responsibilities and achieve larger goals. - siddhi desai 1 March 2012 at 01:44

Q – 4 The Contributor is not a “clock watcher”
“Employees who are willing to stretch themselves when needed, are valued by team members and bosses.”
Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Why?
Answer:
“Employees who are willing to stretch themselves when needed, are valued by team members and bosses.”
Yes, i agree to this statement because:
they see that the fellow employee is flexible in nature, can adjust and adapt to different situations hence this shows how much hard working, enthusiastic & dedicated the person is towards the company. This leads their bosses and team members to value and respect them. - siddhi desai 1 March 2012 at 01:46

Q – 5 The Contributor’s Special: Last Mile Execution
What motivates people to “go the extra mile”?
Answer:
desire to achieve something leads a person to act upon it. hence a person is motivated to go that extra mile when he/she wants to fullfill their psychological needs, self esteem needs etc.
for eg: people get motivated through money,to gain rewards & recognition, to achieve high status in the society and for their own personal growth(promotion). There are various other factors but these are a few i know of. - siddhi desai 1 March 2012 at 01:48

Q – 7 The Contributor acts appropriately in each situation
“Some behaviors that are acceptable in student-life, are out of place in work-life”. Do you
agree or disagree with this statement? Why?
Answer:
I agree with this statement. Behavioral patterns like easy going attitude, laziness, unorganized,
being dependent on others, doing things at last minute, leaking information such behaviors are not acceptable in work life.
If such behaviors are carried forward in work-life then a person wont be able to handle work pressures & wont be able to adjust properly in the work life. In severe cases a person can even loose his/her job due to such behavioural traits.
